Gonna miss him.

Funny Craig Allen story.  I was stationed in Korea with 5/17th Cavalry in 2nd ID up near the DMZ as my first assignment out of Armor Officer Basic.  After my first tour I extended for 6 months for an opportunity as Troop XO.

After my first tour I decided to take some leave and visit Japan for a week.  I was travelling with my then girlfriend 2LT Anne Brule who is now my wife Anne Webster.  We decided to take a MAC flight from Osan Air Base to Tokyo.  Signed up and sat down waiting to board the flight in the MAC Terminal.  About 20 minutes before the flight we were notified that we had been bumped.  As 2LT's in the Army we had no status.  They said we could try again tomorrow.

As we were sitting there wondering what was next who walks in the MAC terminal but Air Force 2LT Allen.  Immediately we recognized each other.  It had been about 2 years since graduation.  He came over and said hello we chatted and I told him our situation.  He confidently said..."I think I can help."  He walks off and Anne said to me you really think he can help.  I responded "he's my Citadel Brother...of course he can".  Next thing I knew they called our names and we were on the flight to Tokyo.

We flew in a C141 and he got us into the crew area for the short flight.  What a fun time talking and reminiscing.  We connected many years later at one of the reunions.  I still think about that encounter every time I read something about him on Linkedin.  What are the odds.

Craig...God's Speed and God Bless...Until we meet again on The Fiddlers Green

Thanks Dave, great story!

Glad we are such a close class.  None of us are guaranteed tomorrow and sad to lose another Brother.  I love you all!

RIP Craig!

Thanks gents.  Craig was always an extremely accomplished and impressive man, friend, and brother since we knobbed together in F Troop.  God grant peace and comfort his family.  Will miss him.
